Job summary

Octopus Computer Associates is seeking a SharePoint Developer for an onsite Manchester contract. The role focuses on supporting and evolving the SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365, with strong emphasis on upgrades, administration and development.

The candidate will act as a 3rd line escalation point and manage SharePoint Online (M365) while ensuring performance, security and reliability. BPSS eligibility is required for this contract.

Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint Server 2019 and SE.
• Experience with SharePoint Online (M365).
• Hands-on upgrades, administration and development of SharePoint.
• BPSS eligibility is required.

Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint SME/3rd Line Technical Specialist to support and evolve our SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in SharePoint upgrades, administration, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as 3rd line escalation for complex SharePoint issues
• Lead SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition (SE) upgrades
• Manage and support SharePoint Online (M365)
• Ensure platform performance, security, and reliability

Essential Skills:

• SharePoint Server 2019 & Subscription Edition (SE)
• SharePoint Online (M365)

Desirable Skills:

• Microsoft 365 stack: OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot/AI capabilities

Certifications (Preferred):

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)
• Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
