Job summary

Notified, formed through EQ, seeks a Shareholder Analyst to deliver accurate share register analysis supporting investor relations and shareholder engagement strategies. You will work with Analytics Client Managers and internal stakeholders to provide high‑quality analytical support, helping clients understand ownership trends and market activity, and to produce reports and insights.

This hybrid London role (Moor Place) combines office and remote work.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the finance sector.
  • Experience as a Shareholder Analyst or in a similar analytical role is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong financial and capital market knowledge.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Ability to work under pressure & to deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse the client's share registers in terms of beneficial and institutional ownership at a frequency agreed with the client
  • Conduct weekly monitoring of significant movements on client share registers, issuing Section 793 notices and alerting clients to unusual activity as required.
  • Issue where relevant Companies Act ("CA") section 793 notices on behalf of client directly or via the Analytics Administration Team
  • Co-ordinate with clients the reporting dates and make all the necessary arrangements, internally and externally to facilitate an efficient delivery; including co-ordinating with Analytics Administration team, company registrars and updating client manager reporting schedules.
  • Provide, where requested, peer company institutional ownership data for clients
  • Ensure that client data is kept up to date on all systems within RD:IR
  • Ensure quality control of analysed data by checking movements using approved checking procedures.
  • Augment the database by identifying and entering data as appropriate
  • Supporting the Client Managers with client liaison
  • Ensure to keep up to date with important industry news /regulation changes
  • Ensure that the Client Manager remains aware of any potential problems arising amongst clients at the earliest opportunity
  • Assist in training and supervising of junior team members
  • Attend client training sessions and review meetings with the Client Manager
  • Assist in preparing client reports
  • Make recommendations and participate in the planning and improvement of the overall Analytics team

Summary:

As a Shareholder Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and insightful share register analysis to support clients' investor relations and shareholder engagement strategies. Working closely with Analytics Client Managers and other internal stakeholders, you will provide high-quality analytical support, helping clients better understand their shareholder base, ownership trends, and market activity. You will play a key role in ensuring exceptional client service through the timely production of reports, analysis, and actionable insights, while contributing to the overall success and growth of the Analytics team.

Location:

This is a hybrid role based out of our London (Moor Place) office, with a combination of office-based and remote working.
