Self-employed carer role in the London Borough of Hackney's Shared Lives scheme, within Adults, Health & Integration. You open your home to adults and over-16s, offering long-term, respite or daytime support with flexible hours.

Responsibilities include supporting care plans, building confidence, and helping people engage in community activities while maintaining a welcoming home environment.

Formación

• Aged 21 or over.
• Full-time UK resident or hold leave to remain.
• Enhanced DBS check.

• Share daily tasks such as home-cooked meals, a welcoming living space and everyday routines to build confidence.
• Deliver personalised support in line with each person's agreed care plan.
• Offer encouragement and structure so people feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.
• Encourage new experiences, hobbies, lasting friendships and participation in the local community.
• Make people feel included and valued as part of an extended family circle.
• Provide daytime or evening support to help someone reach goals or take part in social activities.

Self-employed carer role within the London Borough of Hackney's Shared Lives scheme, which sits in its Adults, Health & Integration department. Carers open their homes and family lives to adults and young people aged 16 and over who need care or support. The scheme offers long-term placements, respite breaks or daytime support, and hours are flexible, whether full-time or alongside other work. Applicants must be 21 or over and need a spare bedroom for overnight care, and visa sponsorship is not available.
