Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group is seeking a Sewing Machinist in Verwood. Earn up to £13.50 per hour with flexible hours around core 8am-4pm and overtime during busy periods. On-site training is provided to help you build real expertise in a relaxed, supportive environment.

You will sew accurate straight lines, trim material, monitor stock, and prepare finished products for dispatch, contributing to automotive sector projects while developing practical skills and independence on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Experience using a sewing machine, ideally industrial.
• Strong eye for detail and steady, accurate technique.
• Experience in manufacturing, textiles or production environments is an advantage.
• Willingness to assist with housekeeping alongside machine work.

Responsibilities

• Sew accurate straight lines and attach Velcro to material.
• Cut and trim material to required standards.
• Monitor and report stock levels.
• Clean finished products ready for dispatch.
• Keep the work area tidy and perform general warehouse duties.

• * Keeping the work area tidy, including sweeping and general warehouse duties

As a Sewing Machinist, your experience will include:

• * Experience using a sewing machine, ideally an industrial sewing machine (full training provided)
• * A careful eye for detail and a steady, accurate approach
• * Experience in manufacturing, textiles or production environments is an advantage
• * Happy to support with general housekeeping alongside machine work
• * Reliable and able to work independently once trained
