Job summary

Quest Employment is seeking Sewing Machinists for an immediate start in Northamptonshire. You will operate industrial sewing machines to produce fabric components and finished products to exact specifications, with shifts Monday to Friday and a pay rate of £12.71–£12.98 per hour DOE.

The role offers an excellent long-term path in a growing manufacturing environment, with opportunities for permanent placement for the right candidate and ongoing development within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sewing Machinist or Industrial Sewing Machinist.
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Ability to follow measurements, patterns and instructions.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Sewing and assembling fabric components to required specifications.
• Following patterns, drawings, measurements and production instructions.
• Measuring and cutting materials accurately where required.
• Checking finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Identifying and correcting defects or imperfections.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Handling different fabrics and materials carefully to prevent damage.
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Working as part of a wider production team to meet daily requirements.
• Following all company health & safety and quality procedures.
