Job summary

Grafters Recruitment Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist for a growing, forward-thinking business in Eastbourne. You will manufacture bespoke fabric products from samples, patterns, and technical drawings, working both independently and in a team to ensure high quality and on-time delivery.

Applicants should have experience operating industrial sewing machines, knowledge of fabric assembly, and the ability to interpret drawings.

Qualifications

The Role

Working from samples, patterns and technical drawings, you will manufacture a variety of bespoke fabric products to meet customer requirements. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, playing an important role in delivering high-quality products and maintaining the company's excellent standards.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience operating a range of industrial sewing machines.
• Good knowledge of fabric product assembly and construction.
• Experience working with a variety of fabrics and materials.
• The ability to interpret and work from samples, patterns and technical drawings.
• A good understanding of sewing machine operations and techniques.
• Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.

Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and skill level (TEMP-PERM).

40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 3.30pm.
