Job summary

NHS Fife is seeking a motivated individual to join the Support Services Team at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline. The role covers sewing and linen duties across the site to maintain a high standard of patient and staff service.

Responsibilities include alterations, repairs, labelling, and linen distribution. Training will be provided, with a pro rata salary for part-time hours and a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Has practical sewing skills and experience using sewing equipment.
• Is reliable, flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Have good communication skills and a positive approach to customer service.
• Is organised and able to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Alteration and repair of staff uniforms.
• Adjustment and repair of curtains and privacy screens.
• Labelling and alteration of patient clothing.
• Occasional upholstery and soft furnishing repairs.
• Exchange, replenishment and distribution of linen trolleys within wards and departments.
