You will join a water quality focused regulatory team of specialists enabling strategic change within the water sector, particularly focusing on storm overflows.
Working proactively with Environment Agency teams and external organisations, the role will lead the development of audit processes for water quality investigations carried out under the Storm Overflows Assessment Framework and Environment Act. You will also be responsible for developing training courses on Urban Pollution Management (UPM), responding to technical queries, and coaching staff on sewerage and water quality investigations.
We’re a dispersed team working with a wide range of water industry regulation and water quality planning teams across the country.
Responding to incidents is a central part of this role. You’ll have the option to take on an incident response role and make yourself available during incidents or provide business continuity support, which may include additional payment and full training.
This position is part of the Water Quality Regulatory Development team in Water Industry Regulation. The team is dispersed nationwide. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Office location is flexible; occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
