A leading environmental agency is seeking a specialist to join their water quality regulatory team. This role involves developing audit processes, training courses, and coaching staff on sewerage and water quality investigations. You will join a water quality-focused regulatory team of specialists enabling strategic change within the water sector, particularly focusing on storm overflows. Working proactively with Environment Agency teams and external organisations, the role will lead the development of audit processes for water quality investigations under the Storm Overflows Assessment Framework and Environment Act. You will also develop training courses on Urban Pollution Management (UPM), respond to technical queries, and coach staff on sewerage and water quality investigations.
Our dispersed team works with various teams across the country involved in water industry regulation and water quality planning. Responding to incidents is central to our work. You may have an incident role, making yourself available to respond or provide business continuity support during incidents, which could include additional pay and full training.
This role is part of the Water Quality Regulatory Development team in Water Industry Regulation. The team is dispersed nationwide. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
