You will join a water quality-focused regulatory team of specialists enabling strategic change within the water sector, particularly focusing on storm overflows. Working proactively with Environment Agency teams and external organizations, the role will lead the development of audit processes for water quality investigations under the Storm Overflows Assessment Framework and Environment Act. You will also develop training courses on Urban Pollution Management (UPM), respond to technical queries, and coach staff on sewerage and water quality investigations.
We’re a dispersed team working with various teams across the country involved in water industry regulation and water quality planning. Responding to incidents is central to our work. You’ll have the option to participate in incident response and provide business continuity support, which may include additional payment and full training.
This position is part of the Water Quality Regulatory Development team in Water Industry Regulation. The team is dispersed nationwide, and the successful candidate must be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Office location is flexible; occasional travel or overnight stays may be required.
