Job summary

Lonsite are seeking experienced Setting Out Engineers to work on long-term projects across Central London, with a Tier 2 RC Frame contractor. Location: Central London, WC1H 9BT. Start dates December 2026 / January 2027. Competitive salary packages and clear career progression.

Responsibilities include setting out RC frames, checks and surveys, and ensuring drawings are followed precisely. Candidates should have RC frame exposure and proficiency with Leica Total Stations.

Qualifications

• Previous setting out engineer/site engineer experience on RC frame projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience using setting out equipment and total stations.
• Engineering qualifications preferred.

• Setting out RC frames and associated groundworks accurately in accordance with drawings.


• Carrying out setting out checks, surveys and measurements.


• Ensuring work is completed to the required specifications.


• Working closely with site management and project teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer.


• Experience working on RC Frame projects.


• Confident using Leica Total Stations and setting out equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.


• Relevant engineering qualifications preferred.
