Job summary

Orchard Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a 12-week contract on a project in Port Talbot. Applicants must have their own setting-out equipment and be capable of managing setting-out duties on site.

Responsibilities include setting out for pile caps, coordinating with survey teams, and maintaining QA docs, ITPs, and as-built records while ensuring work aligns with drawings and programme. CSCS White Card is required; SMSTS/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
• Competent with GPS and Total Station.
• Ability to manage setting-out independently.

Orchard are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a 12 week contract setting out Piles on a project in Port Talbot

Applicants must have your own setting out equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for pile caps
• Managing day-to-day engineering activities on site
• Producing and maintaining QA documentation, as-built records, and ITPs
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and survey teams
• Monitoring health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer
• Competent with GPS and Total Station
• Ability to manage setting-out independently
• CSCS card (White Card)
• SMSTS and First Aid (preferred but not essential)

£350/370 per shift (Negotiable)

12 weeks work starting Monday 12th October
