Job summary

Persimmon Homes on-site teams seek a Setting Out Engineer to manage foundations, drives and boundaries, coordinating with site management to ensure precision and safety on our developments.

You will require a minimum HNC, GPS and Total Station familiarity, CSCS card, and a full UK driving licence. You will document daily progress and support the delivery of high-quality homes on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC qualified.
• Experience with surveying/engineering.
• Total Stations / setting out equipment experience.
• GPS equipment is essential.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Setting out of foundations, drives, boundaries and ancillary areas.
• Minor site surveying, volumetric calculations.
• Liaison with site management & commercial teams.
• Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld.
• Supervise, check and monitor the progress and quality of subcontractors' work.
• Keeping a detailed daily site diary.
• Recording as-built information and keeping it well documented.

What is the role?

The purpose of this role is to undertake the setting out of house foundations, drives, and boundaries whilst liaising with site management & commercial teams, ensuring health & safety standards are upheld.

What experience do I need?

• Minimum HNC qualified
• Proficient in the use of CAD is desirable
• Experience or qualifications in surveying/engineering
• Previous experience using Total Stations / setting out equipment
• Use of GPS equipment is essential
• Ability to manage and program their own workload
• Use their own initiative to ensure works are completed in accordance with the site program
• Previous experience as a site engineer/trainee in the construction environment
• Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is preferred
• Full UK driving license
