Job summary

JRL Group is seeking a Site Engineer for a Groundworks and Concreting project at their manufacturing and storage yard in Cambridgeshire. You will set out and level the site, perform quality inspections and coordinate temporary works, while leading the engineering team on site.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, have at least 2 years in a similar role, and possess a valid CSCS card. The role involves Monday–Friday with occasional weekend overtime and on-site work in Whittlesey,

Qualifications

• 2 yrs’ minimum experience in a similar role.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Experience on Groundworks projects.

Responsibilities

• Set out and level the site using Topcon EDM.
• Carry out and record quality inspections.
• Support construction team with coordination of Temporary Works.
• Be an excellent communicator and lead within the Engineering team.

The company:

Spearheading the JRL Group from the outset J Reddington Ltd have been an industry leading groundwork and concrete (RC) frame specialist for nearly three decades. Building on a proven track record to date, the company is now increasingly being called upon to deliver solutions on larger projects Nationally.

We are now looking for a Site Engineer for a Groundworks and Concreting project at our manufacturing and storage yard in Cambridgeshire.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Set out and level the site using Topcon (EDM).
• Knowledge of site calibration checks.
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Carry out and record quality inspections.
• Use digital / web platforms ie. Fieldview, Viewpoint for projects, Topcon magnetic field / office.
• Carry out as-built surveys, producing and assessing as built files.
• Support construction team with coordination of Temporary Works.
• Be an excellent communicator & take leadership within the Engineering team.
• May be required to oversee some of the document control aspects.

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering or Construction related degree qualified would be ideal.
• 2 yrs’ minimum Experience within a similar role.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Ability to demonstrate having previously worked on Groundworks projects.
