Job summary

NBCUniversal in the United Kingdom is seeking a technical manager for Ride/Show systems, responsible for budget and schedule within an area of responsibility for the Universal United Kingdom Resort (UUKR). You will support bid/award, design, production, installation and acceptance testing of ride and show systems, with emphasis on scenic elements.

Responsibilities include engineering calculations, drawing reviews, test plan reviews, and coordinating with vendors through the delivery lifecycle,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field required (examples include Technical Theatre, Architecture, Set/Scenic Design, Building Construction) or equivalent; Advanced Degree preferred.
• Experience in direct theme park technical/engineering roles supporting scenic elements required; related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering technical assistance to Ride/Show teams for scenic scopes of work.
• Review vendor design review documents and test plans.
• Edit/update Ride/Show engineering specifications as assigned by management.
• Assist in managing vendors through bidding, design, manufacture, testing, shipping, installation, start-up and commissioning.
• Develop/test protocols and plans; execute witnessed tests as authorised.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field
