Job description

An opportunity has arisen at ACCORD Hospice in the Patient and Family Support Team for qualified counsellors.

We are continually developing the team who support patients at the end of life and their families and require a flexible workforce who can work alongside the variations in demand for support that our services face. Due to the nature of the work, it would be desirable to have experience of understanding and supporting client’s pre and post bereavement, supporting the ever-changing world these families find themselves in.

This role will also support the Renfrewshire Bereavement Network in our outreach facility.

In particular, we are seeking counsellors to join the team in a sessional way. This allows you to be able to offer the sessions that can fit around your other commitments while remaining self-employed. We have a successful track record in ACCORD of supporting this model and integrating this role into our substantive staff group in a seamless way.

For more information about the opportunity and the team, please contact Joy Elliot on joy.elliott@accord.org.uk or 0141 581 2000. Joy is the Patient and Family Support Team Lead.
