Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to head a ServiceNow engineering team at one of Europe’s largest ServiceNow installations. You will set standards, mentor teams, and provide technical leadership across multiple modules to ensure high-quality software delivery.

The role requires a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and proven experience in design, development and support of software products within a government context.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering software products.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator is mandatory and required at interview.
• Ability to define engineering standards and drive adoption across multiple teams.
• Proven capability to enable collaboration and reuse across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Define standards for the Engineering community and lead their adoption across teams to deliver quality software products.
• Be an enabler for multiple teams, driving consistency, standards, pace and quality, resolving technical blockers and promoting re-use and collaboration through the wider community.
• Influence our future vision for delivery as part of the Leadership Team and then take ownership for bringing the engineering community on that journey.
• Have an excellent ability to self-organise and define priorities.
• Lead and set direction for multiple engineering teams effectively and successfully.
