Job summary

Methods is seeking a ServiceNow Architect to provide strategic oversight across multiple client projects and to lead the Methods ServiceNow Practice with line management of developers and architects.

You will define technical solutions, mentor delivery teams, deliver compelling demonstrations, support presales activities, and contribute to ServiceNow product roadmaps while ensuring standards and best practice guidance.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in consulting and delivering technology projects on the ServiceNow platform as a Solution Architect.
• Proven track record leading offshore development teams and collaborating with engagement leads, PMs and BAs.
• Certifications listed in the qualifications above (Admin, Implementation Specialist, ITIL).

Responsibilities

• Define technical solutions at architectural and design levels.
• Provide senior technical leadership, line management and mentoring.
• Deliver compelling demonstrations across the ServiceNow platform.
• Assist development teams through complex issues across project lifecycles.

The Role

ServiceNow Architect will operate across the Methods ServiceNow delivery accounts and projects, providing the best practice guidance and strategic oversight for ServiceNow development and implementation activities across multiple client projects. The ServiceNow Lead Architect will be the central point of technical reference for the Methods ServiceNow Practice.

As a key member of the Methods ServiceNow Practice and Leadership team, the role will include line management responsibility for the Methods ServiceNow developer and architect resources, including performance monitoring and review, career path guidance and role profiling.

The role may also require technical consultancy, working with other architects and developers as required.

Key aspects of the role are:

• Ability to define technical solutions (at an architectural and design level of detail)
• Provide senior technical leadership, line management and mentoring for developer resources
• Deliver compelling solution demonstrations across the ServiceNow platform
• Assist development teams in resolving complex technical issues through all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Encourage continuous growth of knowledge around the ServiceNow platform through certification,
• Support the Methods ServiceNow presales opportunity lifecycle, contributing to ServiceNow bids, proposals and case studies
• Contribute to the development of ServiceNow-based product roadmaps.
• Ensure the Methods ServiceNow Practice complies with best practice guidance for solution architecture standards.
• Operate as a member of the wider community, sharing knowledge across functions and building your personal network within the firm.

Preferred experience:

• Extensive experience in consulting / professional services and technical delivery

• A proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on the ServiceNow platform on time and on budget as a Solution Architect
• Experience of leading offshore development teams and working with engagement leads, project managers and business analysts to deliver enterprise wide ServiceNow solutions
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
• Certified Implementation Specialist in at least 3 product suites (particularity ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SAM and HR)
• Certified in ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)
• Strong expertise in scripting on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, CSS and Angular JS: Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Widgets and UI Pages
• Deep understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, etc.
• Experience with delivering solutions in complex client environments
• Understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches
• Experience of agile and traditional software and project methodologies
• Line management experience preferable.
• Ability to author clear and comprehensive documentation
• Able to communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear to influence and align stakeholders around a proposed approach
• Strong negotiator, influencer and team player, used to managing in demanding time-critical situations.
• Strong drive and resilience to overcome challenges or setbacks to achieve your team/project/client goals
• Passionate about areas of expertise, managing your own development by learning continuously from experience and seeking out development opportunities
