Job summary
Methods is seeking a ServiceNow Architect to lead architectural guidance and oversight across multiple ServiceNow delivery projects. You will act as the central technical reference within the Methods ServiceNow Practice and provide line management for developers and architects.
The role requires ongoing technical consultancy, collaboration with other architects, and involvement in presales, solution demonstrations, and roadmap development.
Qualifications
- Extensive consulting and professional services delivery experience.
- Proven track record delivering complex ServiceNow projects on time and on budget.
- Experience leading offshore development teams and collaborating with engagement leads and PMs.
- Certified ServiceNow System Administrator and multiple ITSM/ITOM/ITBM/SAM/HR implementations.
- ITIL Foundation certification and strong scripting/architectural skills.
Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions at architectural/design level.
- Provide senior technical leadership, line management and mentoring for developers.
- Deliver compelling demonstrations across the ServiceNow platform.
- Assist development teams in resolving complex issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support presales activities, contributing to bids, proposals and case studies.
- Contribute to ServiceNow product roadmaps and ensure best-practice architecture.
- Collaborate across functions and build internal knowledge networks.

ServiceNow Architect will operate across the Methods ServiceNow delivery accounts and projects, providing the best practice guidance and strategic oversight for ServiceNow development and implementation activities across multiple client projects. The ServiceNow Lead Architect will be the central point of technical reference for the Methods ServiceNow Practice.
As a key member of the Methods ServiceNow Practice and Leadership team, the role will include line management responsibility for the Methods ServiceNow developer and architect resources, including performance monitoring and review, career path guidance and role profiling.
The role may also require technical consultancy, working with other architects and developers as required.
- Ability to define technical solutions (at an architectural and design level of detail)
- Provide senior technical leadership, line management and mentoring for developer resources
- Deliver compelling solution demonstrations across the ServiceNow platform
- Assist development teams in resolving complex technical issues through all stages of the project lifecycle
- Encourage continuous growth of knowledge around the ServiceNow platform through certification,
- Support the Methods ServiceNow presales opportunity lifecycle, contributing to ServiceNow bids, proposals and case studies
- Contribute to the development of ServiceNow-based product roadmaps
- Ensure the Methods ServiceNow Practice complies with best practice guidance for solution architecture standards
- Operate as a member of the wider community, sharing knowledge across functions and building your personal network within the firm
- Extensive experience in consulting / professional services and technical delivery
- A proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on the ServiceNow platform on time and on budget as a Solution Architect
- Experience of leading offshore development teams and working with engagement leads, project managers and business analysts to deliver enterprise wide ServiceNow solutions
- Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
- Certified Implementation Specialist in at least 3 product suites (particularity ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SAM and HR)
- Certified in ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)
- Strong expertise in scripting on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, CSS and Angular JS: Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Widgets and UI Pages
- Deep understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, etc
- Experience with delivering solutions in complex client environments
- Understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches
- Experience of agile and traditional software and project methodologies
- Line management experience preferable.
- Ability to author clear and comprehensive documentation
- Able to communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear to influence and align stakeholders around a proposed approach
- Strong negotiator, influencer and team player, used to managing in demanding time-critical situations
- Strong drive and resilience to overcome challenges or setbacks to achieve your team/project/client goals
