Job summary

Conventus Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the end-to-end design of an on-premise platform in a high-security environment. You will be the technical authority, shaping configurations and integrations while working with security and infrastructure teams to ensure robust, compliant solutions.

You will mentor developers and administrators, drive design governance, and support accreditation activities to meet classified environment requirements.

Qualifications

• Active DV or SC clearance and British nationality.
• Proven experience delivering on-prem ServiceNow implementations.
• Experience with servers, databases, networking, and upgrades in self-hosted environments.
• Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, and SecOps in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of on-premise ServiceNow solutions from requirements through delivery.
• Act as design authority ensuring best practices and architecture.
• Work with infrastructure teams on design, deployment and upgrades of self-hosted ServiceNow instances.

Security clearance: Ideally DV required but will consdier SC Clearance who are sole British nationals and willing to undergo DV Clerance.

Conventus is working with a leading defence and national security organisation to find an experienced ServiceNow Architect for a high-profile digital transformation programme. You will be the technical authority for an on premise ServiceNow platform. You will design scalable, secure solutions that support mission critical services, working in a highly secure environment.

We would also welcome applications from Senior ServiceNow Developers with strong on premise experience who are ready to step into an architecture role.

The role

• ServiceNow Architect will lead the end-to-end design of on premise ServiceNow solutions, from requirements gathering through to delivery and handover
• Act as design authority for the platform, producing high and low level designs and making sure solutions follow best practice and ServiceNow’s recommended architecture
• Work with infrastructure teams on the design, deployment and upgrade of self-hosted ServiceNow instances
• Work with stakeholders, product owners and delivery teams to turn business needs into robust technical solutions
• Design and oversee integrations with third-party and legacy systems in secure and accredited environments
• Shape platform governance, standards and roadmaps, keeping to the out-of-the-box approach wherever possible
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers and administrators
• Support security accreditation activity and make sure designs meet the security requirements of classified environments
• Essential Experience/ Skills
• Active DV or SC clearance and British nationality
• Proven experience of on premise ServiceNow implementations
• Hands‑on experience of on premise infrastructure supporting ServiceNow, such as servers, databases, networking, MID Servers and upgrades in self-hosted environments
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Solution Architect, Technical Architect or Senior Developer on large, complex implementations
• Strong knowledge of core ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, and ideally SecOps.
• Experience designing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers and IntegrationHub
• A solid understanding of platform governance, data models and upgrade strategy
• Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience in defence, government or other secure environments
• ServiceNow Architect

Desirable

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) qualifications
• ServiceNow architecture certification, such as Certified Master Architect (CMA) or Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) qualification
• TOGAF or a similar architecture framework
• Experience of air-gapped or offline ServiceNow instances
