We have an incredible opportunity to join Phoenix Group as a Service Transition and Release Manager in our Service Architecture, Design & Transition team within Technical Service Operations.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: The role can be based in Wythall, Telford, London, or Edinburgh, with a mix of office and remote work.

Flexible working: We offer part-time, job-share, and other flexible arrangements, which will be discussed during recruitment.

Salary and benefits: £55,100 – £70,000, 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, pension, life assurance, career breaks, income protection, volunteering days, and more.

The role

The Service Transition and Release Manager ensures smooth IT service transitions and successful releases into live environments, focusing on managing the transition of applications and services, assessing impacts and risks.

• Service Transition Management: Develop plans, assess risks, oversee transitions, and collaborate with Service Design and Architecture for quality assurance.
• Release Management: Manage release cycles, ensuring quality and business requirements are met.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in relevant communities of practice.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and implement automation to streamline processes.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to ITIL/ITSM standards and policies.

What are we looking for?

• Strong knowledge of ITIL, particularly Service Transition and Release Management.
• Understanding of Non-Functional Requirements and Test Environment Management.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices.
• Experience in ITSM roles related to service transition and release management.
