Peach State Truck Centers seeks an experienced heavy-duty truck technician to diagnose, repair, and service Freightliner trucks in a fast-paced shop environment. You will perform complex engine and electrical repairs, test drives, and maintain accurate work orders while upholding safety standards.
The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality workmanship and adherence to OEM guidelines.
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing maintenance on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guideline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
Repairs:Major Engine Oil Leaks, Drivetrain Repairs, Fuels Systems (Pump and Injectors), Anti-Lock Brakes, Engine Geartrain Repairs, Troubleshooting, Steering System, Transmission Synchronizer, Advanced Cab and Chassis Electrical Repair, Engine Electronics Diagnostics and Repair, Vehicle Electronic Systems Diagnostics and Repair, Camshaft R/R, Cylinder Head R/R, Cylinder Liner R/R, Transmission Electronics Diagnostics and Repair, Failure Analysis, Inter Axle Differential Overhaul, Transmission Rear Section Overhaul
