Job summary

Peter Cooper Volkswagen Hedge End Southampton is offering a Service Technician Apprenticeship. You will train on diagnostic equipment, test parts, follow checklists, and perform bumper-to-bumper service and inspection while in full-time employment.

The programme includes remote and face-to-face training at a Volkswagen training centre, travel to Milton Keynes for training, and a mentor support system. Successful apprentices gain Level 3 qualification and VW certifications and have opportunities

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship opening for vehicle service and maintenance.
• Training to achieve Level 3 NVQ/tech standard.
• Hands-on experience under supervision with modern VW tech.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical vehicle components.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper services and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems and vehicle components.
• Complete clear paperwork for customers and records.
• Work in a clean and safe service environment.
