Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Bradford is seeking an experienced technician to join the Access Platform Repair, Maintenance and Refurbishes team. You will inspect and diagnose faults on vehicles, fit components, and assist service engineers while ensuring accurate documentation and safe, tidy work practices.

• Proven experience of working in a service, engineering or environment.
• Time Served apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Proven team player in a manufacturing environment and able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and diagnosis of all vehicles and faults in Service.
• Fit/Assemble components to all vehicle types.
• Assistance to Service Engineers or other team members as required.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
• The position works with all members of the Service organization and related supporting activities.
• Work in a clean and tidy manner.
• Ensure Customers are greeted and looked after whilst their work is being undertaken.
• Administration required with documentation job sheets and service sheets.
• Accurate processing of parts to ensure inventory remains 100%.

Gardner Denver Transport provides equipment which efficiently transfers bulk material from road tankers and other vehicles. As global requirements advanced, we started developing into wider applications and we now produce equipment for alternative markets including specialised transport, on-board power systems for operating/powering other equipment, and bespoke electric compressor packages for e-mobility vehicles.

Within our Bradford facility we design, machine, assembly and install our entire Bulk Powder and Liquid Compressor range for Road Transport Vehicles. Providing our customers with the whole product life cycle is number one for us and with our mobile service engineers we offer from concept design, manufacture, installation and aftermarket support.

Job Summary

Access Platform Repair, Maintenance and Refurbishes

Responsibilities

• Inspection and diagnosis of all vehicles and faults in Service.
• Fit/Assemble components to all vehicle types.
• Assistance to Service Engineers or other team members as required.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
• The position works with all members of the Service organization and related supporting activities. It is responsible for complete, accurate and timely communications that relate to assisting the Service Department throughout the organization
• Work in a clean and tidy manner.
• Ensure Customers are greeted and looked after whilst their work is being undertaken.
• Administration required with documentation job sheets and service sheets.
• Accurate processing of parts to ensure inventory remains 100%.

Basic Qualifications

• Time Served apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering or equivalent. Equivalent engineering experience or suitable training qualifications will be considered.
• Proven experience of working in a service, engineering or environment
• Proven team player in a manufacturing environment

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based, Arla, Westbury

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Confident and effective communication with team members and customers.
• Diplomatic and proactive problem solver
• Team Player in a manufacturing environment
• Prepared to travel both in UK
• Basic Electrical training.
• Willingness to work overtime as required and be flexible on start / finish times to suit the Customer’s needs (this would typically be early morning starts such as 5am or later starts of 10am).
