A leading technology company is seeking a Service Tech Specialist to perform calibration and validation of electronic test instruments and mechanical tools. The ideal candidate should have relevant technical certifications and excellent communication skills, performing routine tasks and solving technical problems at customer locations in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Calibration/validation of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy.

Both Keysight and non-Keysight products are serviced. Work is performed at a customer location.

Performing routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.

Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.

Understand customers’ requirements through face to face and written communication.

Travel to customer sites <35% performing calibrations (On-site).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Education and technical knowledge within sector and role
• Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant experience in calibration
• IT knowledge (Windows, Office)
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
• Confident at answering customer questions
• Ability to recognize and anticipate problems and search proactively for solutions
• Ability to work independently and proactive attitude
• Able to obtain UK security clearance
