About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

Position Details

The shift pattern for this role is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. It is based at WestMARC, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Provide administrative support to clinical teams and patient groups within the West of Scotland.
  2. Coordinate clinical waiting lists to ensure patients are seen within the Board’s waiting time standards.
  3. Support the delivery of care for patients referred to and contacting WestMARC, including triage and coordination of repairs for Prosthetics and Wheelchair Patients.
  4. Coordinate multidisciplinary clinics and domiciliary visits across West of Scotland, including satellite locations within territorial health boards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Educated to a higher standard or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in administration and/or contact centre environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with the public, staff, and senior management colleagues.
