Please note - This role requires the selected candidate to hold UK Government Clearance to SC level or be eligible for it.

As our Service Request Designer, you'll be responsible for delivering workable & efficient design / networking solutions to enable successful delivery of complex secure national infrastructure for our Defence contract within the BT Business Managed Service (BMS) area. You'll work collaboratively across all defence teams to ensure the successful fulfilment of orders, delivered proactively within agreed timeframes, and meet our customer’s expectations of service excellence.

What you'll be doing

1. Design solutions detailing equipment, components, network services, cabinet layouts, connectivity diagrams, and field team work instructions.
2. Identify and communicate risks impacting delivery within customer SLAs.
3. Support the implementation of new technologies onto the secure defence infrastructure and update asset management databases with design changes.
4. Work to operational performance measures while maintaining knowledge of products, networks, and systems.
5. Track and update asset management databases with design changes.

What we would like to see on your CV

1. Good IT literacy skills (MS Office). Ability to manipulate data, prepare documents, and presentations.
2. Use of Microsoft Visio (preferred).
3. Prioritisation skills for complex workloads and multiple orders.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with customers.
5. Eligibility to obtain SC level security clearance (mandatory).
