Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Service Project Manager to drive the successful and safe execution of transformer service projects and SLAs, leading a team of engineers and technicians and shaping strategy for the service portfolio.

You will coordinate costs, procurement, budgets, resources and supply chain while ensuring quality, safety and compliance, delivering high-value outcomes and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Background in project engineering with extensive, proven experience within the energy sector.
• Project Management certification desired.
• Experience working with transformers is essential.
• Have successfully managed several high-value projects with accountability for all activities.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations, SLAs, quality and HSE, plus supply chain management and resource planning.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision, but you’re also very much a team player.
• You’re an exceptional communicator who can translate technical detail for customers and colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of engineers and technicians on transformer service projects.
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective projects and solutions in line with processes and safety guidelines.
• Plan, co-ordinate and control costings, procurement, budgets and technical aspects; manage resources and supply chain.
• Oversee project delivery with site reporting and impact on commercial, financial, contractual and QHSE aspects.
• Develop, monitor and review progress to keep work on schedule and within cost/quality estimates.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager and Tendering Team to foster business growth.
• Maintain open, transparent relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity of expectations.

Education

Background in project engineering in the energy sector

Project Management certification

Experience working with transformers

Experience managing high-value projects

As a Service Project Manager at Hitachi Energy you play a key role in the successful and safe execution of projects and Service Level Agreements. You will be able to use your sound judgement and built upon your solid expertise, to deliver the best possible results every time.

You'll lead, coach and mentor a talented team of engineers and technicians and contribute to the strategy and growth of Transformer Service by delivering high-quality, cost-effective projects and solutions in line with our processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

• You’ll be working on multiple projects from start to finish simultaneously


• Plan, co-ordinate and control every aspect – from costings, procurement and budget control to technical aspects, the allocation of resources and supply chain management – in line with design requirements


• Manage aspects of project delivery, including site reporting, and will maintain a key strategic role with responsibility for commercial, financial, contractual and QHSE implications


• Develop, monitor and review progress to ensure all work remains on schedule and within cost and quality estimates


• Operate as part of a team, leading the way to deliver highly successful outcomes
