Job summary

The East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a 12-month post within the Planned Care Division to support the Head of Operations. The role oversees day-to-day service management and service improvement work needed to meet the Elective Recovery target, and may deputise for the Head of Operations.

You will manage stakeholder partnerships, oversee cross-site working, travel as required, and ensure compliance with NHS standards.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Operations with the Trust's strategic and operational agenda for the services concerned.
• Oversee day-to-day service management issues, liaising with departments and teams.
• Deputise for the Head of Operations as required.
• Promote the service and manage partnership relations with stakeholders, working with other Service Managers and Operational Managers.
• Plan and oversee service improvement and development to meet the Elective Recovery national target.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards and contractual requirements.
• Report regularly to all stakeholder groups as required by the Divisional Board.
