Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urgent and Emergency Care Directorate at Worthing Hospital for a Service Manager. This role is vital as we drive forward our improvement programme, which includes a new Same Day Emergency Care unit opening in July and a significant service redesign of our Emergency Care and Urgent Treatment Centre pathways.

This fast-paced role will join an existing strong directorate team, supporting them and the Divisional senior management team through the coordination of performance monitoring, clinical governance reporting, project work, and data/report production as required.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and coordinating others to deliver effective business support across the Directorate. This will require strong planning, prioritising, administrative, and organisational skills. Additionally, the post holder will lead, develop, and improve the management of administrative services for the Directorate and oversee the day-to-day line management of managers, leads, and administrative staff. Ensuring all statutory and mandatory training requirements and appraisals are maintained will also be part of the role.
