Job summary

United Response in South Devon is seeking a Service Manager to lead established teams through change and to deliver high-quality care. You will oversee recruitment, supervision and performance, while ensuring staff feel supported, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding care.

You will also manage budgets and financial processes, ensure regulatory and safeguarding standards are met, and build strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies and the community to strengthen

Qualifications

  • Experience as a leader in social care.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care Management (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • IT literacy and confidence in using digital systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.

Service Manager

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (Depending on experience)

Location: South Devon

Contract/hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dynamic Service Manager to support established teams through change.

As a Service Manager, you will lead and develop your team, ensuring they feel supported, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding care. Your role will involve overseeing recruitment, supervision, and performance management while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Additionally, you will take responsibility for financial management, ensuring budgets are carefully managed and financial processes are followed.

You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding standards, are kept to the highest standards of quality and safety. Building strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and the wider community will also be key to enhancing the support provided.
