Job summary

phs Group plc in Newark is seeking a Service Manager to lead our Operations Centre and a large team of service drivers delivering waste disposal products and services to customer premises across the south and beyond.

In this role you will support the Centre Manager, plan resources, ensure adherence to processes and health and safety policies, and maintain vehicles and equipment to keep colleagues and customers safe.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years management experience within the operations/transport logistics sector.
• Transport management experience / CPC preferred but not essential.
• Energetic and inspirational manager with proven ability to lead teams to meet our valued customers' expectations.
• Hold a valid, full driving licence for at least 12 months (max 6 points) in accordance with the company transport policy.
• Understand Health & Safety in the workplace, preferably IOSH trained.
• Customer focused.
• Resource and time management skills.
• Previous transport experience essential.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for this role too.
• I.T. skills.

We have a great opportunity for a Service Manager to join our Operations Team at our Newark Operation Centre. You’ll be required to manage and support a large team of service drivers who provide vital waste disposal products and services to our customers premises in the south and beyond.
