Job summary

phs Group plc is seeking a Healthcare Service Driver to operate on pre-planned daily routes delivering healthcare waste services and hygiene products. The role requires a full UK manual licence and a clean driving record.

You will handle compliance paperwork and provide professional customer service as you travel to healthcare and commercial sites. The position is permanent, Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week and a company vehicle for business use.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months) is required.
• Maximum 6 points on licence (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years).
• Able to work within a 6am-6pm window (40 hours per week).
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional.
• Good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Visit healthcare and commercial customers on pre-planned daily routes.
• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste).
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises.
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based).

£12.81 per hour | £26,639 + Bonus (OTE £27,839) per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Healthcare Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You'll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Healthcare Service Driver at phs will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
