Job summary

Tesco is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to cover Oxford, Abingdon and Banbury areas. You’ll maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to keep stores energy-efficient and compliant with safety standards.

Join a skilled maintenance team responsible for planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnosing faults, and improving system performance to ensure a seamless shopping experience for thousands of customers daily.

Qualifications

• Full driving license.

• Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical Engineering/Engineering.
• Refrigeration and AC C&G 6187, 7189, 6090 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Heating & Ventilation C&G 7188, 6288, 6188 or NVQ or Equivalent.
• Plumbing & Heating C&G 4467, 3345, 6189, 6035 or NVQ or Equivalent.
• Gas safety and related certifications (F-Gas, CCN1, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
• Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, maximising productivity, and effectiveness.
• Delivering high quality work standards across the estate, with year-on-year improvement.
• Using problem-solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
• Own tasks at a local level through to completion/resolution, informing key stakeholders through the process.
• Using mobile devices to drive best practice in work completion and updates.
• Use business systems to drive best practice in work order reporting to support asset lifecycle management.
• Supporting KPI delivery, through practical application of skill sets and effective use of systems to achieve your KPIs.
