Job Overview

The post holder will have overall responsibility for the management of the CT Scanning Department within the West Area of the BCUHB Radiology Service. This will include delivery of local access and activity targets, local clinical governance, and the line management of designated staff.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist advice to colleagues on the day-to-day delivery of the CT Scanning service, including teaching at graduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Implementing national & BCUHB policies and strategies, along with relevant legislation, under the direction of the Principal Radiographer.
  • Collaborating with senior colleagues to develop and deliver safe and effective Radiology services.
  • Playing an active clinical role in delivering CT and MR Scanning services, including out-of-hours duties as required.
