Getinge is a respected OEM dedicated to making life-saving technology accessible. We are seeking a Service Engineer for our Surgical Workplaces team in South East England (St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Hertford).

The role involves routine servicing, testing, and repairing medical equipment in hospitals across the UK and Ireland. You will utilize your technical skills to ensure equipment operates smoothly, representing our business and fostering customer relationships.

This is a field-based role requiring self-motivation and independent work, supported by regular contact with our service and technical teams. Candidates should have qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. Comprehensive training and career development pathways are provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Customer interactions demonstrating professionalism
• Routine testing and mechanical servicing of equipment
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Calibration and reporting of faulty equipment
• Managing spare parts stock levels
• Producing service documentation
• Communicating with internal teams and customers
• Following quality and safety procedures
• Managing workload and customer calls efficiently
• Out-of-hours standby on a rota basis
• Producing reports and validation documents
• Supporting team members and providing sales leads
