Zusammenfassung

Konecranes is seeking a Multi-Skilled Field Service Engineer (Port Cranes) to maintain and repair harbour cranes, straddle carriers and related equipment across UK ports and terminals. Based in northern England (Newcastle area preferred), the role involves substantial travel and occasional overseas assignments.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, install, inspect and test equipment, and ensure compliance with PUWER and LOLER regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics.
• Siemens S7 desirable.
• Organised and self-motivated.
• Computer proficient including basic networking and diagnostics.
• PUWER and LOLER familiarity.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height.
• Able to spend periods away from home (up to two weeks).

Port Services at Konecranes focuses on the service, maintenance and repair of lifting equipment and automation solutions within ports, harbours and terminals, equipment includes mobile harbour cranes, straddle carriers andcontainer handling equipment.

We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Field Service Engineer, (Port Cranes) to carry out the maintenance and repair of this equipment. Our customers are ports and terminals around the UK coast, so travel is a key part of the role.

We are looking for candidates who are ideally based in northern England, preferably in Newcastle, Gateshead or Teesside.

From time to time, this role can also offer the opportunity to work overseas, but this is not a mandatory requirement.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Electrical and mechanical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solutions products, such as harbour cranes and straddle carriers

Qualifications

What we are looking forin you:

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering, with practical competence in both
• Working knowledge of hydraulics
• Experience of Siemens S7 desirable
• Organised and self-motivated
• Computer proficient including basic networking and component diagnostics
• Familiar with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work at height
• Able to spend periods of time away from home (up to two weeks at a time)
