Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer for forklifts with electrical training to cover the Newcastle area. You will service, diagnose and repair electric and diesel forklifts at customer sites across the Northeast, with a company van and overtime opportunities.

This role includes ongoing training, progression, and a supportive team culture. Working hours are 8:00–16:30, with overtime available, and you will complete service reports and manage stock/tools for a professional

Qualifications

• Field-based forklift experience required.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Commutable to Cramlington.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on forklifts.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Attending customer sites across the Northeast and occasional dealership site work.
• Completing service reports and paperwork.
• Managing your van stock and tools to provide a professional service.

Are you a Forklift Engineer looking for a local patch within a growing, independent company offering electrical training, a company vehicle and overtime to increase your earnings?

You will be the 7th member of a growing team in the Northeast Region this company has a family-oriented culture and a continually growing customer base, meaning you’ll have stability, and the support of a highly experienced team. This company pride themselves on providing ongoing training and progressing employees to senior roles. You will receive training on Electrical Forklifts, making you an expert.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of electrical and Diesel forklift trucks at customer sites across the Northeast and Occasional work onsite at the dealership.

This role will suit a Diesel Forklift engineer or similar looking for ongoing training, progression and a role that offers plenty of overtime to boost your earnings.

The role:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment
