Job summary

A leading fire protection company is seeking a Pump Engineer to join their team. This role involves pre-planned maintenance of Sprinkler Fire Pumps, collaborating with other engineers for repairs, and completing job reports. Candidates should have a Full UK Driving licence and ideally possess experience with Sprinkler Fire Pumps and diesel engines. The position offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, a company van, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Sprinkler Fire Pumps is ideal.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-planned maintenance on Sprinkler Fire Pumps.
  • Assist other engineers in repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Complete job reports for inspections and breakdowns.

Location: Mobile – covering South Coast/Southern home counties

Office Base: Ascot, Berkshire

Summary of Role

This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industries as a Pump Engineer.

What you will be doing
  • Carry out pre-planned maintenance works to Sprinkler Fire Pumps to relevant standards.
  • Understand fire panels, and sprinkler systems including pumps and diesel engines.
  • Be able to assist other engineers in carrying out repairs and fault find on fire sprinkler pumps.
  • Be able to carry out repairs to rotating equipment to a high standard.
  • Complete job report on each inspection/breakdown.
What we will need from you
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Ideally you will have experience of or working knowledge of Sprinkler Fire Pumps
  • Experience of working with diesel engines
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients
  • Strong written and attention to detail skills to complete job reports
  • Able to work effectively on your own and work autonomously with little supervision – but know when to elevate for support
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds – Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance related field (desirable but not essential)
