Job summary

Edina invites applications for a Service Engineer to join our global team. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations, diagnose faults, and optimise processes to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. The role demands a proven electrical background and the ability to work within a callout rota.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining and optimising electrical installations.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and implement reactive maintenance on client systems.
  • Competence in reading electrical design drawings and IT tools.
  • Capability to program Comap and Deep Sea generator controllers.
  • Full, valid driving licence and weekend/rotational callout ability.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations.

Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved, you will efficiently diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on our clients’ installations, as well as other users’ installations.

You will oversee and work to optimise the operational processes of a company's systems to increase productivity and reduce their use of excess time and materials.

About You

To be considered as a Service Engineer, you’ll need:

  • At a minimum, an ONC/D or City & Guilds qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • To be a competent time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ industrial electrical experience
  • To be a competent electrician with the ability to interrogate and programme Comap and Deep Sea generator controllers
  • To be competent in fault‑fising electrical control panels
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings
  • Effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • A full, valid driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday, 8.30am - 5pm and Friday, 8.30pm - 4.00pm

This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout programme based on a rota system.
