Job summary

Gi Group United Kingdom is seeking a Service Engineer on a permanent basis to join our client’s Paisley site. The role covers servicing design and technology machines in Schools, Colleges and Universities across Scotland, with occasional LEV testing on dust-extraction systems.

Travel throughout Scotland is required with some home-working from Monday to Thursday. You will plan weekly routes, manage accommodation using the online portal, maintain paperwork, communicate effectively and work

Qualifications

• Work unsupervised, and as a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Full Driving Licence.
• No issues in the company applying for a DBS.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Experience in maintenance/repairing of machines.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of design and technology machines in educational institutions across Scotland.
• Carry out LEV tests on dust-extraction machines.
• Travel throughout Scotland; work from home typically Monday to Thursday; plan weekly routes and accommodation using the online portal.
• Maintain orderly paperwork and communicate effectively; work autonomously on preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis.

Our client are looking for a service engineer on a permanent basis to joing their expanding team at their Paisley site.

Job overview:

The role entails servicing design and technology machines in Schools, Colleges and Universities, also when necessary, carry out LEV tests on machines with dust extraction. The role involves travelling throughout Scotland and working from home typically Monday to Thursday, therefore the applicant must be able to plan weekly routes and manage their accommodation bookings using our online portal.

Applicants should be used to undertaking planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing fault, the person will need to keep orderly paperwork, have good communications skills and be able to work on their own.
