Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Technical Support professional to cover mobile around London (mainly South London) with responsibility for ECI reactive/maintenance issues and technology development. You will draft technical docs, monitor KPIs, and escalate issues to protect plant and operations performance.

The role requires engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND) and knowledge of industrial control platforms. A company vehicle is provided along with Veolia benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation/Robotics or similar.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Support for ECI reactive/maintenance issues.
• Support technical ECI due diligence and feasibility studies as part of a team developing new technologies.
• Draft new technology supporting documentation and specifications.
• Monitor KPI progress with completed vs. outstanding tickets.
• Escalate high‑risk issues if not addressed promptly.
• Ensure PPM schedule is uploaded and reviewed promptly.
• Provide weekly reporting on completed vs. outstanding ECI work.
• Maintain continuous improvement activities to the ECI FSM platform.
• Provide technical support and fault‑finding for Network and PLC Systems within Plant and Operations.
• Perform Software Management System maintenance.
• Support Site Operations SCADA Systems.

Salary: up to £45000 per annum plus company vehicle and Veolia benefits

Hours: 43 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in a rostered out-of-hours and emergency call-out arrangement

Location: Mobile across London (mainly South London)

What you’ll be doing:

• Act as Technical Support for ECI reactive/maintenance issues.
• Support technical ECI due diligence, feasibility studies and options assessments as part of a team contributing to the development of new technologies.

• Monitor KPI progress with complete versus incomplete tickets.
• Escalate high‑risk issues if not addressed in a timely manner.
• Ensure that the PPM schedule is uploaded and reviewed promptly.
• Be responsible for weekly reporting on completed versus outstanding ECI work.
• Maintain and provide continuous improvement activities to the ECI FSM platform.
• Provide technical support and fault‑finding for Network and PLC Systems within Plant and Operations.
• Perform Software Management System maintenance.
• Support Site Operations SCADA Systems.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Robotics Engineering, or a similar discipline; HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proficiency with industrial control systems including Allen Bradley, Siemens Rockwell, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or equivalent platforms.
• Creative, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to conduct technical optioneering and quickly identify technological solutions for operational challenges.
• Strong competency with Microsoft/Google spreadsheets, documents, Gantt charts, and presentation software for project management and communication.
• Excellent negotiating, networking, and influencing abilities; capable of communicating complex academic and innovative ideas in practical industrial contexts to support teams.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement solutions that enhance existing industrial contracts, increase operational efficiency, and improve performance through analytical thinking and strategic questioning.
