Job description

Service Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum – DOE
Location: Coventry (Travelling across the UK from Site)
Hours: 8am to 4:30pm – Monday to Friday

My client is looking for an experienced mechanical bias Service engineer that has past experience working with bearings, motors, finishing machines, and blasting machines.

• May Day, Spring & August Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor equipment and develop preventative maintenance measures.
2. Deliver training and demonstrations on safe and effective equipment use.
3. Manage inventory and reorder materials as required.
4. Lead machine installation, commissioning, and training sessions.
5. Support the manufacturing team with assembly and testing, including fitting and using hand tools.
6. Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and maintenance support.
7. Provide both remote and on-site technical support and diagnostics.
8. Travel within the UK, EU, and internationally when required for installations and service.

You will need the following experience & skills:

1. Time served Mechanical Maintenance or Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Maintenance
2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
4. Willingness to travel when necessary
5. Experience working with Hydraulics & Pneumatics.
