Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions in Elgin is seeking a Driver to join the Welfare Services division, responsible for loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to customer sites in a timely, professional manner. The role includes equipment checks, refuelling and maintenance, plus on-depot duties such as keeping work areas tidy and completing necessary administration.

A Category B+E or C1+E license with Driver CPC and tachograph card is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience driving and delivering equipment to customer sites.
• Category B+E or C1+E license and Driver CPC with 35 hours minimum.
• Tachograph card and safety protocols are essential.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment when required and perform checks and administration.
• Service, clean and maintain portable toilets and welfare units.
• Keep depot areas clean and ensure equipment is refuelled and maintained.

The Role

Our Welfare Services division hires a range of portable chemical toilets and ADA approved wheelchair access units alongside mobile eco welfare units

The duties of the Driver will include loading, delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer site in a timely and professional manner, demonstration (if required) and completing any relevant checks and administration involved for the hire. In addition the Driver will be responsible for the service, cleaning and maintenance of portable toilets and welfare units. Working in the heart of the depot you would also be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been refuelled and maintained to the highest standards

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving experience in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

About You

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Significant experience working within a driving role delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites
• Category B+E or C1+E driving licence and Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed
• Experience in towing and a digital tachograph card are essential
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
