Welfare 4 Hire is looking for a reliable and professional Driver to join our growing team. This is a safety-critical role involving the delivery and collection of welfare units across the UK using commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and trailers.

About the Role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting welfare units at customer sites nationwide. Working closely with the Transport Planner and Regional Supervisor, you'll ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and on time while maintaining high standards of vehicle care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect welfare units nationwide.
- Operate commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes with trailers.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
- Secure loads and trailers in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete delivery documentation and transport records accurately.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and report any defects or damage.
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
- Ensure vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and professionally presented.
- Adhere to customer site rules and health & safety requirements.
- Handle customer queries professionally and courteously.
- Comply with all relevant driving, tachograph, and transport legislation.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- B+E licence entitlement.
- Previous experience in a driving, delivery, or transport role.
- Experience towing and operating trailers.
- Good geographical knowledge and route planning skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic IT skills, including the use of handheld devices and navigation systems.
- Knowledge of driver hours regulations and tachograph legislation.
- Experience working on construction or industrial sites.
