Job summary

FryerMiles is seeking a Service Desk Agent to join a 24x7 support team on a 6-month rolling contract in Hampshire. The role involves providing technical assistance across Microsoft products, Windows OS, and basic networking, within a structured IT service environment.

You will own incidents, meet SLAs, document resolutions, and contribute to service delivery improvements while working on-site five days a week. A DV clearance is required for this Defence‑sector position.

Qualifications

• Basic networking and application troubleshooting abilities.

Service Desk Agent (24x7) – DV Clearance Required – 6 Month Contract (rolling) – £400-£500 per day – Basingstoke, 5 days on site

FryerMiles is supporting a leading Defence Technology prime on the recruitment of an experienced Service Desk Agent for a critical UK Defence programme.

The successful candidate will provide technical support to end users across a range of systems, applications and technologies within a 24x7 service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents and user queries.
• Support Microsoft products, operating systems, networks, applications and PCs.
• Take ownership of incidents through to resolution or escalation.
• Work to agreed SLAs and service management processes.
• Document resolutions and maintain knowledge records.
• Support continuous improvement of service delivery.

Essential Experience

• Previous IT Service Desk / Technical Support experience.
• Microsoft products and Windows operating systems.
• Basic networking and application troubleshooting.
• Incident management and technical problem solving.
• Experience working to SLAs within a structured IT service environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a 24x7 shift environment.
