Job summary

FCC Environment is seeking a Service Delivery Manager (Waste Collections) in Havering to oversee day-to-day waste and recycling collection operations. You will lead operational teams, manage resources and ensure KPI targets are met, while maintaining health, safety and quality standards.

The role is full-time, five days per week, with a salary range of £42,249 to £58,093 per annum plus benefits. Havering location and UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operational contracts.
• Strong understanding of waste, recycling, or environmental services.
• Proven ability to meet KPI targets and manage service performance.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of waste and recycling collection services.
• Lead and support operational teams, ensuring high performance and compliance.
• Manage staff, vehicles and equipment in line with legal requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact for the client.
• Monitor performance data and identify improvements to service delivery.
• Support the implementation of new processes and service changes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Support recruitment, training and employee welfare activities.
• Work with senior management to identify risks and improve service delivery.

Service Delivery Manager (Waste Collections)

Salary – £42,249 - £58,093 per annum (plus benefits)

As a Service Delivery Manager (Waste Collections) at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of waste and recycling collection services, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery in line with contract requirements. You will lead operational teams, manage resources effectively, and ensure all objectives and KPIs are met.

This vacancy is for a full‑time position, working five days per week in waste collection.

What will you be doing?

• Experience with operational or fleet management systems is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• A proactive, motivated approach with strong leadership skills
