Job summary

FCC Environment in Havering is hiring a Service Delivery Manager (Waste Collections) responsible for day-to-day waste and recycling service delivery. You will lead operational teams, optimise resources and ensure KPI targets are met in a full-time, five-day-per-week role.

The position requires experience managing contracts, strong leadership and a solid understanding of waste services. A UK driving licence and IOSH qualification are preferred, with training available where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operational contracts and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of waste, recycling or environmental services.
• Proven ability to meet KPI targets and manage service performance.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards).
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of waste and recycling collection services.
• Lead and support operational teams to ensure high performance and compliance.
• Manage staff, vehicles and equipment in line with legal requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact for the client.
• Monitor performance data and identify improvements to service delivery.
• Support implementation of new processes and service changes.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
• Support recruitment, training and employee welfare activities.
• Work with senior management to identify risks and improve service delivery.

Salary – £42,249 - £58,093 per annum (plus benefits)

Hours – 40 hours per week

As a Service Delivery Manager (Waste Collections) at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of waste and recycling collection services, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery in line with contract requirements. You will lead operational teams, manage resources effectively, and ensure all objectives and KPIs are met.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week in waste collection.
