Sovereign & Bale is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead the operational delivery of a health, wellbeing and employment support service in the UK. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, personalised support and ensure exceptional participant experiences while meeting contractual performance and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in health, employability, wellbeing or public services.
  • Strong track record in operational leadership and performance management.
  • Experience delivering against contractual performance measures and quality standards.
  • Experience supporting people with physical or mental health conditions and disabilities.
  • Experience of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
  • Experience analysing performance data to drive service improvements.
  • Knowledge of person-centred approaches and the Social Model of Disability.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience delivering DWP or publicly funded contracts (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of contractual service standards and compliance (advantageous).
  • Experience of service mobilisation or operational change management (advantageous).
  • Management qualification (e.g., ILM Level 5) or equivalent leadership experience (advantageous).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the service with a person-centred approach.
  • Motivate, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage operational resources, caseloads and workforce capacity.
  • Ensure delivery meets contractual standards, outputs and targets.
  • Monitor participant engagement and service quality.
  • Maintain records and evidence for contractual, audit and payment needs.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and change initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding, quality assurance and risk management.
  • Develop partnerships with external stakeholders in health, employers and public services.
  • Monitor performance data and use MI to drive improvements.
  • Represent the service in meetings, reviews and partnership forums.
  • Promote a positive, high-performing team culture.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Delivery Manager to lead the operational delivery of an innovative health, wellbeing and employment support service.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, personalised and holistic support to participants, helping them improve their health, wellbeing and confidence while progressing towards employment at a pace that is right for them.

You will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional participant experience while delivering against contractual performance measures, quality standards and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team through supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Manage operational resources, caseloads and workforce capacity.
  • Ensure delivery meets contractual standards, output measures and performance targets.
  • Monitor participant engagement, service quality and contractual timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records and evidence to support contractual, audit and payment requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance, risk management and governance.
  • Build effective relationships with external stakeholders, including public sector organisations, healthcare providers, employers and community partners.
  • Monitor performance and outcome data, using management information to drive improvements.
  • Represent the service professionally at meetings, reviews, audits and partnership forums.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and development.
Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced operational leader with a background in health, employability, wellbeing or public services, and a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.

You will ideally have:
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong operational leadership and performance management experience.
  • Experience delivering against contractual performance measures and quality standards.
  • Experience supporting people with physical health conditions, mental health conditions and disabilities.
  • Experience of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-working skills.
  • Experience analysing performance data and using management information to improve services.
  • A strong understanding of person-centred approaches and the Social Model of Disability.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, planning and decision-making skills.
