Join to apply for the Service Controller - 12-month Fixed Term Contract role at Liebherr-Great Britain.

Biggleswade

A temporary 12-month fixed-term contract has arisen within our Earth Moving After Sales department based in Biggleswade for a Service Controller.

The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd Earth Moving Technical Division by offering effective customer service through clear communication with Field Service Engineers, ensuring parts and services are provided in a timely manner.

Your responsibilities as a Service Controller
  1. Assist the After Sales Supervisor in supporting the service department and providing industry-leading customer service.
  2. Answer all inbound calls efficiently, obtaining customer details, order numbers, or other authorizations as required.
  3. Organize all parts, labour, tooling, and resources for efficient job completion.
  4. Close and invoice jobs, justifying costs to customers and managing the depot’s WIP.
  5. Liaise with customers to schedule jobs, maintain machines, and communicate schedules and defects promptly.
  6. Communicate with Workshop and Field Service Engineers to prepare estimates for secondary work and generate sales.
  7. Raise Sales Orders, Work Orders, Purchase Requests, and Invoices.
  8. Input engineer timesheets and overtime for payroll.
  9. Manage dealings with suppliers, raise purchase orders, and confirm receipt.
  10. Process credit notes.
  11. Maintain organized work documentation and filing system.
Requirements for the Successful Candidate
  • Experience in a similar industry demonstrating relevant skills and competencies.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
